Al-Karkh University of Science held a meeting with the delegation of Oil Ministry Representatives, in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Luay Kazim Abboud, the Dean of College of the Remote Sensing and Geophysics Dr. Rafa Abbas Hassan, the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Furat Al-Mosawi, and the Head of the Department of Geophysics, Dr. Ahmed Askar Najaf.
The meeting included several topics, including the possibility of integrating the conference of the Oil Ministry with the first international scientific conference of Al-Karkh University of Science in one scientific conference. The members also discussed working on making an exhibition for the oil companies that will participate in the conference. They also discussed the potentials and human resources available for the conference.
During the meeting, joint committees have been formed between the two sides in order to follow the administrative and legal procedures and preparations for the International Conference to be held in November 2018.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University for Scientific Affairs and the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, Dr. Loay Kazim Abboud, stressed the need to work according to the spirit of one team, to serve the country, and to support the economy. He also stressed the need to adhere to the timing of the holding the first international scientific conference of the University.
For his part, the delegation of the Oil Ministry expressed an appreciation of the rapid development at Al-Karkh University of Science, whose scientific resonance is flourishing rapidly across the country.
