Al-Karkh University of Science held its first international conference on the recent contributions of geophysics and remote sensing techniques in oil explorations, with the participation of local and foreign experts, specialists and academics, in the presence of high-level political figures and officials.
His Excellency Dr. Abdul-Zark Al-Issa, former Minister of Higher Education, said that Al-Karkh University of Science excelled at its first international conference, which he described as being qualitative.
He added that the university has also excelled the selection of scientific departments and specialized colleges, to be one of the leading Iraqi universities in the disciplines that are consistent with the requirements of the labor market, and the needs of state institutions.
He pointed out that despite the financial crisis that has hit the country since 2014, the university was able to move forward and was a pioneer in the development of colleges and departments and was able to attract students to those disciplines that are compatible with the global technology and the need of state institutions.
